Hollenstein Career and Technology Center

The Welding program offered by Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD is designed to prepare students for a career in manufacturing, designing, and repairing metal equipment.

The school offers an Introduction to Welding high school course and a Welding 1&2 at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center.

There are no prerequisites for the Introduction to Welding class but before enrolling in Welding 1 you are required to complete the introductory class, a 10-hour OSHA certification, and Algebra I.

Tarrant County Community College

Tarrant County Community College is offering welding technology programs that can lead to an AAS or a certificate.

The following programs are available:

  • Welding Technology, AAS
  • Welding-Basic

A non-credit Welding Technician-Basic program is also available.

The AAS program can be completed in two years while the certificate programs are one year long.
