North Florida College is offering certificate and A.S. programs that prepare students for careers in a variety of industrial settings.

The college’s catalog includes a 150-hour Welding Assistant I course and a 150-hour Welding Assistant II course.

The introductory class covers workplace safety and basic manufacturing processes, as well as basic interpretation of welding symbols.

The Welding Assistant II class covers intermediate oxyfuel gas cutting practices, plasma arc cutting principles, and basic Shielded Metal Arc Welding, among other topics.
