The Welding Technology program offered at William H. Turner Technical Arts Adult Education Center is offered from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The complete program consists of 1050 hours of Welding Technology core program and a 750-hour Advanced Welding Technology program.
At the end of the core program, students receive a certificate of completion.
It is recommended that students complete the core program before signing up for the advanced classes.
After completing the 750 hours of advanced welding training students receive another certificate of completion.

Florida Technical College
Florida Technical College offers a wide range of career education programs.
Their Welding Diploma Program is designed to prepare students for a variety of welding careers as Aluminum Welders, Fabricators, Maintenance Welders, or Mig Welders.
Students enrolled in this program learn gas metal arc, flux core arc, gas tungsten arc, and pipe welding.
The program can be completed in 12 months and consists of 260 lecture hours and 700 lab hours.

Palm Beach State College
Palm Beach State College is offering a 1050-clock hour welding program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment.
During training, students learn how to read blueprints, identify metals, basic shop skills while also honing their communication and employability skills.
The shop classes included in this program include instruction in a variety of welding and fabrication techniques, including torch cutting, arc welding, MIG welding, flux welding, TIG welding, and current industry standards.
Students also prepare for the certification tests.
The program is offered at the Lake Worth and Belle Glade campuses with costs varying depending on the location.
Tuition for the Belle Glade program is approximately $3,500, while the Lake Worth program costs $4,000.
These costs also include books, uniform shirts, and protection equipment.

Sheet Metal Workers Local 32 prepares a highly skilled workforce through its apprenticeships and continuing education classes.
