Minneapolis Community & Technical College is offering a Welding and Metal Fabrication program that can lead to a certificate or A.A.S.
The certificate program requires 30 credits while the associate degree pathway requires 60 credits for graduation.
Students learn how to perform qualification tests to industry standards.
The curriculum also covers SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW techniques, blueprint reading, and more.

Dunwoody College of Technology
Dunwoody College of Technology is offering a Welding and Metal Fabrication program that can be completed in two years.
The first year is spent in a state-of-the-art welding lab at Dunwoody’s campus.
During this time period, students learn standard welding methods such as shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc, and more.
Year two takes place in Dundwoody’s state-of-the-art industry machine shop where students learn engineering drawing, manual and CNC milling and turning, and geometric dimensions and tolerancing.

MPLS Make is offering an 8,500 square feet shop where you can complete your projects using a state of the art equipment.
Training is also available for those who want to learn the basics of welding.
The Welding Basics program offered by MPLS Make is designed for beginners.
The program covers MIG Welding.
Participants can take the finished project home.

Pipefitters Training
Pipefitters Training is offering five-year apprenticeship programs that combine classroom instruction with paid on-the-job training.
Prospective apprenticeships have to complete an online application at the training center during the two-week application period.
They also have to submit a photocopy of their high school diploma.
UA Welder Certification testing is also available.
